Many of u guys know that I have been using VISTA but recently I started playing Far Cry and that got me really indulged so I decided that I will shift to XP since rebooting the PC and booting in XP just for playing Far Cry took a long time. Since I had not used XP for a long time the drivers were all outdated so I updated all my drivers. When I went to nvidia’s site to download my Graphics Card driver I saw the latest drivers were 93.71 which was released long time ago and many people said that the 91.47 Forceware drivers were better than 93.71 drivers. Even I had agreed to them since earlier I had used 93.71 Drivers and they were continuously giving me artifacts. So yesterday I decided that lemme once again install these drivers and see how they perform. Installation and everything went fine then I installed Coolbits and decided to overclock my GPU.
To My surprise the driver did not detect m y clocks properly as it said my Core Clock to be 400mhz and Memory to be at 350Mhz which is higher than my stock clocks of 350mhz for Core and 333mhz for memory. Then I decided to check my clock speed using Riva Tuner. Riva Tuner also reported my clocks to be at 400/350 MHz. So I decided to overclock using Coolbits only and decided to check what will be my frequencies if I let Coolbits detect my Frequencies. To my surprise Coolbits set 440 MHz for my core and 415 MHz for my memory. I fired up 3D Mark 06 so as to see whether my graphics card was stable or not. Surprisingly it was stable!!!
So now the drivers which I thought were crap turned out to be the best for me since it got my GFX stable up to 440mhz/415mhz which the 91.47 drivers did not allowed me to do. The max they could let me overclock was 399 MHz for Core and 385 MHz for Memory
.I got a cool 90mhz Overclock on Core and 87 MHz overclock on memory all thanks to the 93.71 drivers. Kudos to Nvidia for this!!!

Check your 3dmark scores at stock and after the OC.
The 93 drivers have a problem where the throttle kicks in earlier. You might be able to OC that much, but the throttle may push you back further.
